All comments must target an already published paper within the personality and social psychology domain. The comments could, for example, deal with a:

  • Replication of one study or several studies in the target paper
  • Notification of closely related research unknown for the authors of the target paper
  • Notification of closely related research that the target paper failed to notice or refer to
  • Comment on theoretical or methodological issues in the target paper
  • Misunderstanding, a mistake, or an error in the target paper
Comments should contain no more than 1.500 characters, including blank space. No figures or tables. Comments should be written in English, should be concise and written in an understandable style. All submitted comment should include the name, affiliation, and the email address of the author.

The integrity and the professionalism of the author(s) of the target papers should be respected. Personal and irrelevant information about the target author(s) (such as ethnicity or sex) should be avoided at all time. Hostile and socially inappropriate language is unacceptable. Comments not following these recommendations will be deleted from the database without notification. All statements contained in the comments are the personal views of the commenter.

For submitting a comment, you need the following information: The APA-style reference of the target paper (if the paper is not already in the database); your name; your position, and affiliation; your email address (will not be publically shown); and last but not least your comment. Your comment will appear on PSPC as soon as it is approved, which should be within a couple of days. Please notice that this is not a review process, we only exclude comments that violates the guidelines. You will be notified by email when your comment is published.
